The stated prices are include the service fee and breakfast. The offer contains services with different VAT rates, which are invoiced by VAT according to the relevant rules of the law, it is carried out item by item. (VAT rate: accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner: 5%, drinks, hall pass: 27%) There are limited number of rooms. They will be allocated in the order of registration/reservation, as long as there are rooms. Please fill in the registration form.

General Information of Venue Hotel Lillafüred

There are several opportunties in the Hotel, that are included in the Prices: Swimming pool, sauna, infrared sauna, steam bath, indoor wading and diving pool, quiet wellness hours (only in specific times), adventure pool, salt chamber, outdoor connecting Finnish sauna, plunge pool and fitness room. They include also bathrobe, free parking, free Wi-Fi.

Arrival  from 14:00 each day. Early check-in is possible after the request of an individual contact. Leaving the rooms by 10.00 on the day of departure.

Tourist tax: HUF 450 / person / night (from the age of 18), which is the current applicable legislation.

Tower history exhibition can be visited individually with a room card from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Discounted tickets for the Szent István cave, the Anna cave, the forest train, and the chairlift can be requested at the reception.

Smoking is allowed only in designated areas, and fines are designated by violating.

Cancellation conditions for the services ordered:
45       days before the event: 0% (no penalty)
30-44  days before the event: 30%
18-29  days before the event: 50%
8-17    days: 70%
1-7      days: 100% payable

Services ordered but not cancelled by no-show guests will be indicated on the invoice as a "no-show charge", and the services not rendered will be charged as follows VAT will be charged at the rate of the VAT on the cancelled services.
In the event of cancellation within 24 hours, 100 % of the quantity ordered will be refunded. Payment terms: The booked accommodation, including breakfast and tourist tax, is paid individually by the guests. Please note that the price of the accommodation, including breakfast and taxes, is payable individually and in advance by bank transfer on the basis of our letter of request.

How to get to the Venue

1. Car rental

At the BUD airport or in other major transport hubs, it's easy to find rental cars, but it's worth booking in advance. roughly 100-150 EUR for a few days. We recommend the following two websites: EconomyBookings or BUDrental

2. Airport Transfer

You can choose from several Airport Transfer companies. They offer one way transfer and round trip from the airport to the given address and back. A round trip price is about 200 euros. We recommend these companies: Cívis Transzfer, El Szállít or Ronert Trans.

3. Public transportation

Miskolc and Lillafüred can be reached with public transportation from Budapest by train comes from Budapest Keleti Railway station. To reach the station from the airport there are several options:

1. Use Flibco buses. Comes every half hour, takes 45min to reach the station and costs about 10 EUR.

2. Use the 100E public bus and go to Kálvin square or Astoria station and reach the Metro line 2 or 4. Take it for 2-3 stops to reach Budapest Keleti Railway station. Everything is marked and guides to the destination, but both the bus and metro need a pre-purchased ticket (can be bought on the spot, but not on the vehicle), which cost around 10 EUR.

3. Take a taxi, but they are expensive.

In every hour a train goes to Miskolc (Tiszai Railway station) with a 2-hour travel time. The ticket cost around 15 EUR. From the Tiszai Railway station to the hotel there are 4 options:

1. Tram 1 goes from the station to Felső-Majláth stop and a transfer is needed to Bus 15.

2. From the railway station there is Bus 3755, which goes all to Lillafüred.

3. There  are a scenic route: Take Tram 1 to LAEV stop and take the forest train LAEV to Lillafüred.

4. Take a Taxi

Tickets are available in ticket offices, kiosks and also in the vehicles, but a bit more expensive and the driver cannot give a change most of the time and they doesn't speak English most of the time as well.

General Information

Letter of Invitation
The conference organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation letter for visa purposes. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the conference organisers to provide any financial support.

Official language
The official working language at the conference is English and German, there are no other language possibilities nor translation is offered.

Passport and visa
The entry formalities for the Hungary vary according to the country of origin. There are no visa requirements for EU passport holders. Other conference delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to the local Hungarian Embassy / Consulate / Representation in the home country. All foreign citizens must be the holder of a valid passport.

Participants are requested to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance. Neither the Organisers nor the Conference Secretariat will assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the conference.

Climate
Mid-spring has pleasant , but chilly weather in Hungary. An umbrella may be useful. Daytime average temperature is between 10-20° C, and the evening temperature can go below 10° C. For weather forecast and real time information please check AccuWeather or other sources.

Currency and money exchange
The currency in Hungary is Hungarian Forint (HUF). 1 Euro is approx. 390 HUF and 1 USD is approx. 360 HUF as per May 2021.

Most shops and restaurants accept Euro, but at very bad exchange rate. Pay with card of cash(HUF). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted – also in taxis.

Please do not exchange money at the Airport! Their rates are extremely bad. ATMs can be used to withdraw HUF with a normal rate.

Banks
Normal banking hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs. Monday to Friday. There are ATMs usually located in connection with a bank branch, which accept a variety of international credit cards. The cards accepted are indicated on the dispenser. You can find an ATM at the university.

Shops
Most shops are open from 06:00/09:00 to 18:00/21:00 hrs. Monday through Sunday.

Tips
Tips are not included in the prices given in taxis and restaurants in Hungary, although some restaurants using service fee, please check the bill. Tipping is appreciated.

Smoking ban
Smoking is banned in all indoor public places in Hungary. It has been forbidden to smoke in 5 meter radius from the entrance of schools, universities, dormitories and other higher education institutions. Furthermore, it is not allowed to smoke in public transport, and 5 meter radius from bus stops, pubs, bars, restaurants and in national institutions. It is also forbidden for children under the age of 18 to buy cigarettes, even enter the tobacco shops. The sale of tobacco is limited to state-controlled (but privately owned) tobacco shops called Nemzeti Dohánybolt (National Tobacco Shop).

The conference is a no-smoking event and smoking is not permitted at the venue.

Electricity supply
Electricity is supplied at 230 volts A/C, 50 Hz cycle. Sockets are Schuko type F

The Organisers reserve the right to adjust or change the programme as necessary.
