University of Miskolc

Venue

The conference will take place at the University of Miskolc.

The University of Miskolc provides an academic environment for professional discussions, scientific presentations and networking within the field of logistics.

Accommodation

Participants are kindly requested to arrange their accommodation individually. A limited number of rooms are available in Miskolc, both on the University Campus in hostels and in nearby hotels and apartments.

How to get to the venue

1. Car rental

At Budapest Airport and other major transport hubs, rental cars are easy to find, but advance booking is recommended. The approximate cost is 100–150 EUR for a few days.

2. Airport transfer

Several airport transfer companies offer one-way and round-trip transfers from the airport to the given address and back. A round-trip price is approximately 200 EUR.

Recommended companies: Cívis Transzfer, El Szállít or Ronert Trans.

3. Public transportation

Miskolc and Lillafüred can be reached from Budapest by train from Budapest Keleti Railway Station. From Budapest Airport to Keleti Railway Station, several options are available.

  • Use Flibco buses . They run approximately every half hour, take about 45 minutes to reach the station, and cost around 10 EUR.
  • Use the 100E public bus to Kálvin Square or Astoria, then take metro line 2 or 4 to Budapest Keleti Railway Station.
  • Taking a taxi is also possible, but it is usually more expensive.

Trains run to Miskolc Tiszai Railway Station approximately every hour, with a travel time of about 2 hours. The ticket costs around 15 EUR.

From Miskolc Tiszai Railway Station to the University

  • Tram 1 or 2 → Bus 12 or 20 → University
    Take Tram 1 or Tram 2 from Tiszai Railway Station toward Felső-Majláth. Get off at Szinvapark or Budai József utca, then transfer to Bus 12 or Bus 20 to Egyetemváros. Approx. 15–20 minutes.
  • Direct or connecting buses
    Bus 12, 20, 20A, 29 or 29A can be used directly or with short transfers to reach Egyetemváros. Approx. 20–25 minutes.
  • Taxi or ride-share
    Taxis are available in front of the station. Approximate price: 3,500–4,500 HUF / 8–12 EUR. Travel time: 10–12 minutes.

Tickets are available at ticket offices, kiosks and in vehicles, but they are more expensive on board. Drivers often cannot give change and may not speak English.
